Location:  Metropolitan Region of Santiago and other major cities throughout Chile.
Event: Several marches and protests are scheduled today and throughout the weekend.

Taxi, bus, and truck drivers have disrupted traffic on several major thoroughfares, including routes to the Santiago airport, which may continue into the weekend. Local authorities report organized marches through sections of Vitacura and Las Condes, which will make their way to Metro Tobalaba and then onward to Plaza Italia. Local authorities expect thousands of participants in Plaza Italia.

Other protests and demonstrations are expected to occur in areas of Santiago throughout the weekend. Continue to monitor local news and government announcements for up-to-date information.
