Event: Changes in Quarantine Measures Announced

As of July 13, the Ministry of Health has confirmed 317,657 cases of COVID-19 in Chile.
The government of Chile has implemented measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. The following new measures were announced by the Chilean government on July 12:
· A quarantine for the following comunas, beginning at 10:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14:
o Arica (XV Region)
o Rengo (VI Region)

LATAM maintains commercial flights between Santiago and the U.S. As commercial flight options and availability may change with little notice, the U.S. Embassy continues to encourage all citizens who are not prepared to remain in Chile for an indefinite period of time to take advantage of commercial flights to the U.S. while they are available. Contact LATAM for any information regarding changed or cancelled flights. The Department of State is not currently organizing an evacuation of American citizens from Chile.
