Local authorities are reporting calls throughout Santiago for groups to arrive in masses and evade paying at various metro stations. Protests were called for Metro Manquehue on Friday and Los Dominicos Metro Station on Monday, October 21. The calls to demonstrate are spontaneous and local authorities are unable to predict where the next location will be until it is posted. Protests are expected to continue throughout the next week.
There is the possibility for protests to turn violent and/or dangerous. In particular, these types of protests have resulted in acts of violence and the closure of metro stations.
