Additional Resources for U.S. Citizens

Foreigners who enter Chile as tourists must prove that they have sufficient daily funds of a minimum of US$46 to cover their expenses. For more information visit Chile.Travel’s webpage.

Aiming to assist U.S. citizens in Chile, the U.S. Embassy in Santiago compiled lists of lawyers, medical doctors and funeral homes in Chile.

Please note: The Department of State assumes no responsibility or liability for the professional ability or reputation of, or the quality of services provided by, the entities or individuals whose names appear on the following lists. Inclusion on this list is in no way an endorsement by the Department or the U.S. government. Names are listed alphabetically, and the order in which they appear has no other significance. The information on the list is provided directly by the local service providers; the Department is not in a position to vouch for such information.

These lists are not meant to be complete, as there are many competent professionals in the community. Many of these Chilean professionals speak English. Physicians are included after a review of their educational certification and local licensure. Inclusion on this list does not indicate exceptional competence but rather a lack of negative commentary. It does not represent either a guarantee of competence or endorsement by the Department of State.
