A group of 5 Chilean high school students who received U.S. Embassy-funded EducationUSA Academy scholarships to visit universities in the U.S. visited the Embassy on June 11 for a briefing prior to their departure to the United States with Acting Deputy Chief of Mission Carla Fleharty.
The Academy is a four week academic program which provides college preparatory content, tours of different campuses and cultural activities to high school students from around the world. The Chilean students will go to Diablo Valley College, University of Colorado Boulder, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
