Diplomats
Applications for diplomatic, official and other types of visas presented by diplomatic missions are accepted directly at the Embassy, Avenida Andrés Bello 2800, Las Condes, from Monday to Thursday, from 12: 30-13: 00 pm. at window # 4.
The required documentation is as follows:
- Diplomatic note or letter from the international organization.
- Valid passport.
- DS-160 visa application form confirmation page.
- Photo according to specifications.
Payment of the processing fee is not required for diplomatic visas, or for visas issued in diplomatic passports to diplomatic personnel accredited in Chile, or for Official visas in Official passports.
The $ 160 USD (or its equivalent in pesos) corresponding to the visa processing fee will be required for non-official visas issued in ordinary and / or official passports.
At the time of delivering the documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy, the person presenting the documents will receive an envelope for official processing. The envelope must be filled out clearly indicating the name of the person who delivers, that of the main applicant and all the companions.
Because the normal processing time for these types of requests is two business days, we ask that you submit them well in advance, especially for groups.
If you need to present groups of more than 10 passports, response times change dramatically.
For every 10 passports you must add 2 additional business days.
For example, if you must bring 5 passports, we have 2-3 business days to respond. If you bring 11 we have 4 to 5 business days to respond, if you have 50 passports, you should consider two additional days for every 10, so it would be at least 11 business days in advance for 50 passports, and so on.
